The Director of Architectural Interiors supervises all Architectural Interiors team members and is responsible for the overall performance of the staff and division. Basic responsibilities include workload management, representing Architectural Interiors in sales presentations and ensuing the professionalism, accuracy, customer service standards and profitability of the division.

OVERALL DUTIES

  • Develop and implement systems & procedures for the Architectural Interiors division including working within the NetSuite CRM/ERP system for creation and tracking of opportunities and projects.
  • Responsible for determining employee/employment needs and facilitating staffing-related activities in conjunction with Human Resources and Executive Management.
  • Analyze sales projections, level of activity and Executive Management feedback for the best deployment of resources.
  • Manage team assignments to ensure work load activities are appropriately balanced and supported.
  • Assure maximum staff productivity through reviews, prioritizing and coordinating staff schedules, and negotiating deadlines in order to meet client requests/needs.
  • Check work progress to redirect activity and resources to meet project goals and time frames.
  • Provide coaching and direction to team members working on architectural interiors projects.
  • Review quotes, sales orders and invoices to ensure that all projects are ordered and billed properly.
  • Report to Human Resources and Executive Management regarding project and staff concerns and feedback on performance.
  • Assist Executive Management in the dissemination of company decisions back to the Architectural Interiors division.
  • Participate in major sales presentations as the representative of the Architectural Interiors team.
  • Prepare quotes and sales orders for large or complex projects; review quotes and contracts done by team members to ensure appropriate terms, price and scope.
  • Create and monitor quality control activities to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Work with Human Resources to develop and implement training programs for Architectural Interiors team members to increase productivity, effectiveness, and foster client relationships.
  • Create and refine scopes of work based on each client’s needs and products requested.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure all Architectural Interiors team members are kept informed of corporate and division objectives.
  • In cooperation with Executive Management, grow the number of Architectural Interiors customers and optimize divisional revenue.
  • Establish core field procedures and methods of work for Architectural Interiors team members, ensuring that all activities are consistent, safe and efficient as well as meet customer satisfaction criteria.
  • Researches and stays current on local competitors—their pricing, service scope, marketing strategies, and strengths/weaknesses.
  • Researches new product offerings and makes recommendations to Executive Management about products and services that could be strategic additions to Meadows’ Architectural Interiors offerings.
  • Ensures that efficient work plans are developed for every installation project.
  • Interfaces with installation vendors to ensure client and communications are regular and professional.
  • Trains Architectural Interiors team members in the expert skills of project analysis, work planning and management, labor management, client and third-party interfacing, customer relations, and overall project administration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with customizable and reconfigurable architectural demountable walls for private offices, office fronts and touch down areas
  • AAS Degree or better
  • Construction knowledge
  • Previous Furniture dealership+
  • Previous Haworth specification+
  • Previous Architect agency+
  • Experience reading Floor Plans/Drawing
  • Database experience: NetSuite knowledge+
  • MS Office, Excel advanced level
  • Detail-oriented
  • Effective multitasking
